Program and Structure
Upon arrival at CJ's Skate Camp, our instructors will oversee an assessment period to help us place your camper in the correct instruction group based on their age and ability level. Throughout the day, campers will be guided by some of the best trained staff in Canada, learning on a diverse collection of settings including flat, street and mini. These lessons are aimed at introducing new campers to the joy of skateboarding or scootering and working with more experienced campers on improving their skill set.

What to Bring (and What We Provide)
All skaters under 18 years of age must have their waiver signed by a PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN.
What to bring:
• A reusable water bottle
• Complete skateboard or scooter must be in good condition (we can sell or rent, if needed). Pegs on a scooter must be taped or removed and please note we do not allow collapsible scooters
• All campers are required to wear proper safety equipment at all times. Note: bicycle helmets are not allowed.
• Flat-soled running or skate shoes. No boots or open-toe sandals are permitted.
• Shorts or jeans are ideal (sweatpants are not recommended).
• We recommend light and breathable clothing. Short or long sleeve t-shirts are best.
What we provide:
• 2 snacks (morning and afternoon)
• A healthy, balanced lunch
• Refreshments
Additional drinks are available for purchase. (You can set up a tuck shop account at our front counter.)

COVID-19:
• Campers will be required to purchase a CJ’s Face Shield for $6.00 and wear it in our facility when they aren’t skating or eating. Face Shields are made of polycarbonate, are durable, washable and reusable and a great way to keep you and others around you safe. Campers also have the option of purchasing an attachable Face Shield to fasten to their helmet to use while skating or scooter riding for $10 each. The attachable Face Shield is thicker and can be worn either on a helmet or on its own. Although it is optional, we strongly/highly recommend campers purchase and use a Face Shield or disposable cloth mask (available for $2 each) while in the park
• Parents who choose to remain in the skatepark beyond pickup and drop off (purchasing equipment in the Pro Shop, watching skate demos, watching their child skate, etc.) will also be required to purchase and wear a CJ’s Face Shield. If handing product in the Pro Shop, parents will also be required to wear gloves.

Nutrition, Meals and Snacks
Skateboarding and scootering can really build up an appetite!
That's why we give careful attention to our lunch and snack menu choices. A nutritious meal is always served at lunchtime, and it changes daily according to our menu.

Camp Scholarships and Special Needs
CJ's offers camp scholarships for those in need
Our mission is to serve all kids and youth in the community, including at-risk youth and special needs kids with Autism, Asperger syndrome, Down syndrome, ADHD, OCD, LDs and those who may be challenged in other ways.

Experience and observation have awakened the directors of CJ's SKATEPARK to the remarkable benefits of training all children in sports. While we accommodate many special needs children, we look at each child's unique needs on a case-by-case basis.
